30-HOUR FAMINE
The Jr/Sr High Youth Group will be having their famine the weekend of Feb 12-14. I hope when they ask for your support you’ll be able to help them out this year, we have a smaller group but we have a lot of exciting things happening. They have a goal they are working towards of raising $1600.00 and since we have a smaller group this may be a real challenge. Please take the opportunity to ask them what will be happening if we reach our goal.

We will also be doing a food and clothing scavenger hunt. If you have some clothing you would like to get rid of please contact Robin Bigelow or Stephany Deeter and we will put you on our list.

Join us Saturday, February 13th at 7:30 to hear Joyce Monnin talk about her Mission Trip to Africa. This event is free of charge we just ask that you bring a non-perishable food item.

EVERYONE IS INVITED to join us for breakfast on Sunday, Feb 14th starting at 9:00-10:00. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and cereal. We plan on showing a video of bits and pieces of our famine weekend.

BIBLE STUDY
The Wednesday evening Bible study is beginning to investigate the basics of the Bible. During the first two weeks of February, they will be dealing with wisdom literature such as Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes.
On Ash Wednesday (February 17), the class will not meet. On February 24, they will begin to focus on the book of Job. Dealing with the question of suffering and why it happens, a study of Job is a good one for the season of Lent. This class meets in the church library at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday, and each session lasts about an hour. All are welcome to join them at any time!

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
The adult Sunday school class that is led by Lynn Labs is moving! As of Sunday, February 7, the class will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings in the church library instead of in the conference room on Sunday mornings before church. (Please note that on Sundays that a Taize service is scheduled, the class will not meet.) On February 7, the class will begin a discussion of the book Christianity for the Rest of Us: How the Neighborhood Church is Transforming the Faith by Diana Butler Bass. This book shares ten characteristics that are shared by vital, progressive congregations, offers examples, and shatters the myth that only mega churches are growing. This is a lively bunch of folks! All are welcome to join them, whether or not you have read the book!

OUTDOOR MINISTRIES CAMP
The information is here, if you have never gone to camp you need to check all the different ones out, there truly is something for everyone. Christian Ed does help pay for all youth going to camp, we strongly urge you to get your application in early so we all get the lowest rate. Any questions see Stephany Deeter.
