Annual Meeting
January 22nd
The Annual Meeting of the First United Church of Christ will be held following the catered lunch after the 10:30 worship service. All members are encouraged to be present at this very important meeting where we will be voting on the revised Constitution and By – Laws. You can obtain the December revised copy in the church parlor or the church office. Copies of the 2011 Annual Report are in the parlor. Be prepared to participate in the discussions to be held at the annual meeting.
The Youth group will be preparing lunch and would appreciate your support with a donation for the meal and their service.
Settle Pastor Candidating Weekend
The Search Committee has recommendaed a candidate for the position of Settled Pastor for First UCC. The members will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the candidate the weekend of January 27-29 and also observe the candidate during the service on Sunday morning. Following the service will be a Congregational Meeting held to vote on the recommendation. The members of the executive council and search committee are excited about this moment in our ministry and invite all the members to participate in this important event in the life of First UCC.
Movie Night
January 20th at 7 pm
Movie Night is for anyone who would like to come. Most of the movies are child oreinted, but if you want to come, relax and tap into your inner child all are welcome.
Taize Service
Taize is a quiet service of meditation, reflection, readings and music. Come and be still and at peace in the presence of God at 7 pm on Sunday, January 29th.
